Why afrent my files downloading in bittorre t
Other than that try disabling temporarily kaspersky and malware bytes to see if they're at fault. I'm afraid i don't know what else to try. Good luck! The problem can be fixed by deleting qBittorrent. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling I assume that automatically cleared the folder housing those 2 INI files. But just to make sure I have just deleted them and have restarted Qbittorrent, I will follow up on the results.
I checked the dead torrents, I checked the trackers just now and it says on the status tab that some trackers are "working" but some are "not working". For the "Do not count slow torrents in these limits" I have just enabled that option just now.
So I'll follow up with the results. The weird thing is that yesterday my torrents suddenly started downloading again and I'm not sure why. I have redone my settings in Qbittorrent due to a recommendation that was posted on my thread in the Qbittorrent Fourms. These are the new settings that were posted, And as such I have changed my previous settings to these settings.
Going forward, I recommend a vast reduction on your qBittorrent settings. The az-calc guide you used was badly flawed when it was made and is over 6 years old. Upload slots: Global maximum: 60 should be lowered further if you lower upload speed much Per torrent: Not "checked" it's not nearly as important as the global max upload slots.
Half-open connection value: 10 if you're not firewalled in qBT, even 10 may be overkill. With 60 total upload slots, that puts an upper limit on how many active torrents you can have at once -- 60, with 1 upload slot for each.
Alright, So I still have this problem. Now I'm not sure what to do. It works sometimes but sometimes it does not work with downloading, even though I have seeds. Qbittorrent isn't even letting me move torrents around, I usually put torrents in a "downloading" folder then I put the finished torrents in a folder marked "Unsorted by Filebot" using the torrent program, But when I use the option "Set Location" in Qbittorrent nothing happens.
That and my torrents never check it seems, It takes forever to check if the check bar even moves at all. I don't know whats going on. Now I cant cant even get qbittorrent to close using the end process command with task manager. I have used qBittorent for some time successfully, but recently have experienced the same problem. I appear to be set up correctly but suddenly am getting 0 upload and 0 download speeds. Although my computer registers clean when I do a thorough scan, I've noticed problems with other software programs not functioning correctly.
Could I possibly have some type of virus that my Windows Defender is not picking up on? I've already removed malware with Malwarebytes.
Cleared it out and started downloading again straight away. I still had a lot of space left on my hard drive. However, due to all the problems with my inability to download torrents and similar problems with everything else, I finally bit the bullet and reloaded Windows 10 from scratch, losing practically everything in the process, including important files that I thought were personal.
But I'm happy to report I'm recuperating and qBittorent is functioning again. Jan 31, 1 4, I would try asking the question in one of the Windows forums. Don't even think about trying to use a torrent on a school wireless network; you may end up getting expelled. What is it that you are trying to download? McHenryB :. I can understand perfectly what Skittle was saying; he answered as if you were running Linux - not unreasonable as you posted in the Linux forum. Yes I assume you were running Linux.
Same sort of requirements apply to windows though: If for some reason the HDD is not mounted think a removable drive that has been "safely removed" then you cannot write to it.
Also if for some reason the torrent clients or your user do not have write permission on the drive. Or a myriad of other reasons. To expand on blocking torrent traffic, traditionally it is very hard because many traffic are encrypted so packet detection algorithms do not work well.
The only reliable method is to block by default all ports other than 43 and 80 for normal web traffic but this still does not stop someone from using torrent over port 43 and 80 and has other undesirable consequences.
So I think the problem is unlikely that it is your internet connection. Be careful playing with the firewall rules if you don't understand exactly what each one is doing and what the associated ports are assigned to. Otherwise you are likely to open your router, and possibly your network, to every hacker who happens to drop by. Not all internet bandwidth are created equal Also you need to find another torrent that matches the current one that has more seeders or trackers that might give you more chances to download the torrent files. That will increase your chances there are others out there but linked to different trackers. I'm using uTorrent 3. Status maintains Downloading 0. I already checked my firewall.
Everything is working fine. Here is my tracker tab status:. So do you mean find the same torrent in a different website and download it from there, so it adds there seeds on as well? I am sorry but I do not understand what a tracker is.
OK so I have never really looked through the tabs down there, are they just there for show or is there something I can do to speed things up? That usually the only other way to get more tracker to increase your chances to get the download.
